What we're seeking:

As the Director of Information Technology in the digital domain, you will be working closely with business stakeholders, prioritizing the digital roadmap, partnering with stakeholders, and overseeing the execution of high-impact initiatives. This person will interface with diverse groups both internally and externally to Frontier, including Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and executive leadership while representing the voice of the customer. In this in-person role, you will be required to report to 1919 McKinney Ave, Dallas, TX to complete your work responsibilities.

What you'll do:

  • Manages large, complex digital initiatives in a results-driven environment
  • Ensures alignment and understanding of decision impact across teams
  • Leverages relationships and insights to reduce ambiguity to drive results
  • Clearly articulates goals, communicates, and defends (or redefines) the value proposition
  • Oversee the management of the entire technology portfolio including monitoring performance, identifying risks, and developing investment strategies
  • Manages portfolio budget and forecast
  • Responsible for aligning the digital portfolio of work to the business strategy
  • Provides regular updates on portfolio performance and value delivery
  • Create and communicate a compelling vision for our portfolio of digital products
  • Collaborate closely with the full cross-functional team (engineering, design, operations, sales, marketing, security) to help execute the strategic vision
  • Collect and analyze feedback from our customers, business partners, and operations team to distill down into actionable insights
  • Monitor the competitive and technological landscape for opportunities and/or product implications
  • Provides leadership in the strategic planning process - giving guidance, advice, and input into the organization's ability to realize the strategies through investment appraisals, prioritization, and resource planning
  • Provides leadership to portfolio/program managers; builds, mentors, convenes, and coordinates the activities of a high-performing team
  • Application of best practices for portfolio execution and management
  • Thought leader and change agent in the establishment of an enterprise-wide strategy for unified portfolio, program, and project management
  • Collaborates with company leadership, business owners, and other stakeholders, (e.g., operations, engineering teams) to refine goals, and then define approaches to achieve them. Defines the business case and ensures alignment with the business vision and strategy
  • Analyze and evaluate potential risks associated with portfolio decisions, developing, and implementing risk management strategies
  • Continuously improve portfolio processes and systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Hires, leads, manages, coaches, develops, and evaluates direct and indirect reports
  • Manage a team of at least 4 offshore/global vendors/resources

  • Salary Range: $150,000 to $200,000

What background you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience performing Portfolio / Program / Project Management
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership
  • Demonstrate high energy/creativity and entrepreneurial skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing strategic initiatives that align with business goals and budgets
  • Experience in the identification, assessment, and contingency planning for risk factors
  • Experience developing, implementing, managing, and improving complex operational workflows with an emphasis on scalability and value delivery
  • Experience working with tech organizations and managing digital channels- including teams in software development, infrastructure, digital, data management, and others
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • At least 3 years experience in quantitative portfolio management; leading and managing largescale programs and knowledgeable of agile models
  • At least 3 years of experience negotiating with outside vendors, including negotiating contracts, and prices, resolving service issues, and reconciling differences
  • At least 3 years of experience working with stakeholders at the most senior levels of an organization
  • At least 3 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
  • At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership
  • At least 3 years managing 10+ person teams (vendors, FTEs, global teams)
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
