Job Description

CEI Engineering is seeking a Survey CAD Technician at our office in our office in Bentonville, AR OR Dallas, TX. The Survey CAD Technician will provide AutoCAD drafting support for various survey projects. Tasks will include but not be limited to processing survey data, preparing survey drawings for topographical surveys, boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, design surveys for commercial and residential projects, route surveys for transportation projects. Some occasional field work when needed. WORING KNOWLEDGE OF AUTOCAD A MUST. EXPERIENCE WITH TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYING PLUS.

Responsibilities

  • Works under the directions of RPLS or Survey Project Manager
  • Develop survey related project using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with client and CEI design standards
  • Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach in developing and completing projects on time and on budget
  • Complete redlines and plan revisions
  • Research and review deeds, ordinances, technical reports, municipal, state and federal codes to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with other project managers and design staff to provide status updates, discuss challenges, and address plan revisions
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • CAD certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • High Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Full range of visual depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Desire to become S.I.T a plus
  • Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and ability to occasionally travel overnight
