Oxy Oil & Gas' Supply Chain Management organization is a world-class global strategic sourcing, procurement, and inventory management function at the forefront of oilfield contracting strategy. We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Commercial Strategy Advisor within our Supply Chain Commodities and Material Management team based in Houston, TX. This role specifically supports the procurement of MRO materials. The ideal internal candidate should be customer service oriented, comfortable in a dynamic changing environment, keen on building relationships and eager to achieve impactful results.

Essential Job Duties:

* Driving the collaboration efforts with business and functional leadership in establishing and executing MRO sourcing & value creation strategies.

* Category Manager for MRO contracts and corresponding Procurement Strategies for domestic oil and gas assets. Contract management responsibilities include executing new contracts, term extensions, commercial amendments and terminating non-utilized contracts. Also works closely with the material management team on Customer Managed Surplus program for redeployment of surplus.

* Preparing, submitting and negotiating with Legal's support the contract terms and conditions (master service agreements, commercial terms, and purchase orders, etc.)

* Pre-qualifying new and re-qualify existing Suppliers, while assuring full compliance with the HES Contractor Safety Program

* Communicating with internal stakeholders on strategy, policies/procedures, guidelines, and processes as it relates to MRO materials.

* Maintaining lines of regular communications with vendors in the MRO category to determine availability, competencies, and cost competitiveness.

* Managing key suppliers by evaluating performance which includes quarterly business reviews and vendor KPI tracking.

* Working in multiple ERP Systems modules (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Supplier Registration, Sourcing Strategy, Contract Development and implementation, Supplier Performance and Contract Close out)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management

* 7+ Years of Experience

* Strong knowledge of procure to pay process, contract management best practices, supplier vetting, sourcing strategy implementation, commercial analysis, and negotiations

* Strong contract analysis, drafting and negotiation skills

* Strong communication skills and ability to communicate thoughts in a clear, concise, coherent manner

* Excellent proficiency in time management skills, highly organized, and detailed oriented

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Strong cross-functional communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills

* Demonstrated ability to work independently, decisiveness, and sound judgment

* Must be comfortable with change in all its facet and be to help assist others through change

Desired Qualifications

* Knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes (preferred).

* Systems - SAP, Ariba, Spotfire, Power BI

* Microsoft Office Suite - Especially Excel

* Strong experience managing relationships with Commodities Providers

* Comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders

* Knowledge with Oil and Gas MRO materials, especially PVF
