Job Description

Mansfield Service Partners is looking for a Fuel and Lube Truck Driver Helper for our Celina, TX location. Nearest to the Dallas / Fort Worth, TX area).

The Helper role involves partnering with the Lube Truck Driver to provide essential services primarily to construction sites, with a focus on heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, motor graders, and excavators. The position requires dedication to safety, following directions, and compliance with on-site policies.

Responsibilities include assisting the lubes driver in completing daily scheduled on-site preventative maintenance for customers by performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks such as greasing and fueling equipment. This position requires a strong focus on adhering to all safety protocols. Helper will also be responsible for routine maintenance, care, and required route preparation of company assigned equipment.

Responsibilities

On-Site 10 hour Daily Heavy Equipment Preventive Maintenance Duties

  • Collaborate closely with the Lube Truck Driver, ensuring the seamless execution of specified duties and adhering to their leadership.
  • Follow precise instructions and consistently comply with all on-site safety policies to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Assist the Lube Truck Driver in completing daily scheduled on-site preventative maintenance for customers, emphasizing a comprehensive 10-hour service or PM.
  • Provide full-service support for heavy equipment, conducting essential routine inspections and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: checking sight glass, topping off vital fluids, fueling, and greasing/lubricating equipment.
  • Aid driver in capturing heavy equipment hours or mileage, contributing to accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure strict adherence to All Site Safety Policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hardhats, gloves, vests, closed-toe footwear, and safety glasses.

Off-Site Duties

  • Thorough daily maintenance and next day route preparation of company service truck
    1. Ensuring all fuel tanks are adequately filled
    2. Removing any accumulated trash or debris from the service truck
    3. Refilling all fluids or grease to ensure readiness for the next shift

Position Requirements

Physical / Environmental Conditions

__x__The position is located in an outdoors environment frequent encounters dirt and dust, noise and vibration, fumes and odors and wetness/humidity. May be frequently exposed to mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. This position may require travel via vehicle and airplane. Employee may be required to sit for long periods of time. The incumbent frequently lifts up to 25 lbs.

Shift is working early morning hours into the afternoon. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday and Saturday work may be required. Overtime is required.

Formal Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's License

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience with tools, including hand tools like pliers and wrenches, required
  • Minimum 1 year of basic preventative maintenance experience with heavy equipment trucks preferred
  • Possess at least 1 year of mechanical knowledge in a heavy equipment capacity, preferred
