Job Description
Supports Critical Environment Management (CEM) and data center transition processes to ensure the delivery of consistent quality methods and portfolio wide compliance for new accounts and the expansion of existing accounts. Implementation of CEM processes and integration with other service lines (Engineering, IFM, HSSE, PDS, MAC etc.) assuring readiness for the agreed upon go-live date and post go-live transformation. Individual contributor delivering data center services and site start-ups as required.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Performs support for site startups and due diligence for new and existing clients.
* Performs site and operational due diligence for baselining current state and site risk profiles.
* Performs assessments for critical facility operations and infrastructure as required.
* Integrates building commissioning services into startup planning and program development.
* Adhere to overall schedules, timelines and client deliverables for go-lives and facility start-up/set-up.
* Develop a strong partnership with client's Data Center Management (DCM) and Critical Environments Management (CEM) teams to foster collaborative and constructive communication during Transition and into Transformation.
* Provide Subject Matter Expertise in client meetings in all technical CEM matters, reliability, service delivery and problem management as required.
* Develop and implement an operational guidelines framework for client's critical environments to be implemented by our Engineering and Facilities Management teams.
* Implement JLL's HSSE, IFM and engineering programs as applied to data center operations.
* Deploy KPI and contract requirements for onsite team compliance. Always focusing on maintaining a goal of 100% Critical Facility Uptime.
* Partner with HR in the recruiting of a diverse group of critical environment professionals who will best represent JLL's values, with the right skillset and capabilities to manage and operate client Critical Facilities as best in class operators.
* Responsible for ensuring that staff and vendors working in the Critical Environment space are properly trained and familiar with all critical environment practices and guidelines.
* Support training aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations and maintenance staff, specific duties include and are not limited to: Critical Environments Skills Needs Assessments, Proper use and care of tools and instruments, giving instruction in basic maintenance, safety and troubleshooting procedures, recommending relevant outside engineering courses for enrollment and instilling an overall level of professionalism in manner and appearance.
* Effectively manage communications and escalations, identifying areas of risk which may impact transition between the transition team and client contacts. Develops an escalation plan and documentation in preparation for go-live, particularly in instances for reporting critical emergencies (i.e., system failure, downtime).
* Provide regular status updates, meeting minutes, as required, to the Technical Lead, and key client stakeholders.
* Ensure the CEM program is adjusted to be in accordance with local, state and national requirements overlayed by those required to meet client account expectations (i.e. critical processes and reporting requirements).
* Establish audit schedules for JLL Operations, ensuring that account team is aligned that all audits are completed each year.
* Actively participate in JLL CEM program. Contribute to corporate CEM goals as appropriate and transition CEM best practices to client as applicable.
* Performs additional job duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (PE preferred)
* 7+ years in Critical Facility/Data Center Operations required. IT services knowledge also preferred
* Experience supporting enterprise, hyperscale/cloud, colocation data centers preferred
* Extensive electrical, mechanical & plumbing knowledge of commercial facilities with a very strong background in critical data center operations.
* Understanding of computerized maintenance management systems and operational technology platforms.
* Knowledge of reliability engineering and how it is applied to asset and systems management.
* Must have a deep understanding of the critical engineering design and all operational aspects of the client critical infrastructure. Strong emphasis on UPS, Emergency/Backup Power Systems, Static Switches, Paralleling Switchgear & Distribution, HVAC Systems, Control/BMS Systems, FLS systems, and raised floor computer environments.
* Must have in depth knowledge and experience with critical systems such as emergency/stand-by generators, automatic transfer switches, uninterruptible power systems, static transfer switches, paralleling switchgear, power distribution units, battery systems, and other typical Critical Environments/Data Center Infrastructure.
* Technically proficient in operations of Building Management Systems, Fire Detection/Suppression & Life Safety Systems, CMMS, DCIM, Microsoft Office, Power Point, Visio and Microsoft Outlook software.
* Ability to read and understand complex system drawings including Electrical One Lines and Mechanical Risers
* Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
* Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
* Global, and/or National/Regional experience.
* Ability travel to client sites on a regular basis.
