We are looking for a Director, Fleet Services, who will be responsible for the overall performance of the fleet services function with respect to the servicing, vehicle damage repair and in-fleeting/de-fleeting of rental vehicles to maximize fleet utilization and profitability across a wide geographic region. We are looking for a proven leader with operational excellence who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a passionate team to ensure our customers are always in a safe vehicle.

What You'll Do:

  • Own and optimize the P&L for the fleet services function across a wide geographic region
  • Identify and drive strategic opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies by developing, implementing and communicating operating plans to maximize fleet utilization to business and company guidelines, directing and controlling the maintenance, repair and/or reconditioning of fleet vehicles, all activities relating to in-fleeting new and/or used vehicles into the rental fleet and de-fleeting vehicles to sale, auction and/or other alternative channels.
  • Manage performance of team members against business plan by setting, communicating, monitoring and updating goals as needed for key performance indicators on a regular and consistent basis for service, damage, in-fleet and deletion, including, but not limited to, technician productivity, percent out of service, overdue idle cars, vendor cycle time, days to deletion and venue quality average grade
  • Forecast, budget and manage key financial drivers including, but not limited to, S&W per day, warranty recovery, cost per estimate and cost per deletion.
  • Partner and collaborate with the key fleet, field operations and other leaders to meet business objectives
  • Manage all areas of the employee lifecycle, including developing, motivating, recognizing, evaluating and managing performance to enable a high performing culture

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven track record of building, leading and driving a high performing team
  • Excellent analytical, creative problem solving and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail, to breakdown complex problems to actionable plans
  • Strong financial acumen and forecasting skills with proven track record of hitting KPIs
  • Proactive cross-functional leader and collaborative team player who is able to work in a fast-paced service-oriented work environment
  • Ability to travel
  • 2-4 year college degree preferred (or equivalent in education, training or experience)
  • Minimum of 8 years management experience in related field (rental car, auto sales or fleet management)
