Summary

The Business Analyst, Utilization is a key operational role for DSV Road Transport Inc.As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Utilization Analyst to join our growing team! You will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the utilization of our trucks and trailers. You will be responsible for ensuring that our equipment are used efficiently, reducing idle time, and minimizing costs associated with maintenance and downtime.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Allocate Trailers to different routes, ensuring that they are assigned based on load capacity, destination, and delivery schedules.
  • Continuously monitor the utilization of equipment, track usage patterns, and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure all equipment are in optimal working conditions.
  • Collaborate with dispatch teams, drivers, and maintenance teams to communicate availability, maintenance needs, and schedule changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment utilization, reduce idle time, and increase overall operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that all trailers are compliant with safety and regulatory standards, including inspections and documentation.
  • Work to minimize unnecessary costs related to usage, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, including tracking locations and status.
  • Analyze historical data and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions and improve utilization strategies.
  • Performs other duties as maybe required.

Educational background / Work experience

  • High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree in logistics or equivalent industry experience preferred)
  • Proven experience in equipment utilization, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Attention to Detail and strong organizational skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision

For this position, the expected base pay is: $68,000 - $92,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
