Brief Description:

Field Service Supervisor manages field operations to ensure support is provided to the field in a safe and efficient manner. The Field Service Supervisor will manage the 24-hour support line to work closely with customers and field coordinators preparing quotes, scheduling, and collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver quality service. This role will effectively act as a subject matter expert, supervise, and direct a variable sized team of personnel depending on operational and maintenance project requirements. This role will report to the Manager Operations WRT.

Detailed Description:

The Service Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of 10-15 individuals ensuring the following objectives and tasks are met:

  • Read, interpret, and follow engineering documents and instructions to oversee accurate product assembly.
  • Ensure maintenance personnel are performing all work in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and dispatch technicians to rigs; providing field support to technicians assist in repair, parts, personnel, and troubleshooting etc.
  • Coordinate equipment & parts delivery for onsite commissioning, maintenance.
  • Supervising technicians on a one-to-one basis and assisting in daily operations, procuring parts, documenting daily repairs, publishing reports, and issuing service orders.
  • Instruct, demonstrate and train on installation, maintenance, repairs and programming on OEM and Non-OEM hydraulic and electric Top Drives; Traveling Blocks (Overhead Hoisting Equipment); Iron Roughneck(s) make brake machines; Automated catwalk(s); Pump Power End's - Mud, Frac & Cement pump's.
  • Proficiency in machinery, tools, their designs, functions, repair, and maintenance, coupled with expertise in materials, methods, and tools essential for construction or repair.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis for Warrior equipment downtime and damage investigations as required and timely submit reports as needed, identifying & communicating opportunities to management.
  • Develop and track KPI's
  • Participate in hiring, promotion, and selection process for Field Maintenance team.
  • Ensure WarriorPath Progression planning and on the job training (OJT) is complete for all technicians.
  • Identify training needs required in field operations and assist in developing training material as required.
  • Work with internal and external customers to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with Warrior Departments, internal, and external customers.
  • Review, develop, and maintain equipment, (fleet vehicles, supplies and tool(s) etc.) orders and procedures for suitability of the job application.
  • Some international travel may be necessary on occasion.

  • Physical ability to:
  • Lift and carry 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally during visits to the field and operational work areas.
  • Listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and or machinery problems.
  • Stay alert and focused including during occasional extended work periods.
  • Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around the work environment with many moving objects including overhead machinery.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated times.
  • Ability to regularly travel (40%) as needed to visit worksites and support business units; may require extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area.
  • Ability to work on weekends and be on call after hours or travel as needed with limited notice as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and/or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Possess a state-issued driver's license meet the Company's Vehicle Use Agreement Policy and be eligible to drive a Company vehicle.
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial or supervisory position.
  • 7+ years' relevant work experience in a maintenance, manufacturing, remanufacturing, repair, or field service environment of Industrial equipment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (purchasing/inventory/sales/work order management software)
  • Electrical, Hydraulic, Mechanical or Controls

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
  • Vocational or technical training: Millwright, Journeyman Mechanic or Electrician or Hydraulics certificate or Trade School Degree
  • Previous experience within the Oil & Gas industry for equipment installation, commissioning, Rig up /down diagnostics experience of:
  • Warrior or TDS 11 Top Drives, Traveling Blocks, Iron Roughnecks, Automated Catwalks or Power End.
    • Electrical, HVAC, Hydraulic, Mechanical & Pneumatics service
    • Omron, Amphion, Current Power, Control Systems.
      • Yaskawa, ABB, Siemens
  • Bilingual
  • Previous work experience in asset management

Additional Details:

This position requires the person to work in both office locations and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold/heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The Field Service Supervisor will be occasionally exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where the drilling operations and rigs are located. The Field Service Supervisor must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. The incumbent must be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive response requirements. The person must also be willing to work extended schedules that may include working days and occasionally nights, weekends, and holidays.
