The Position

Are you passionate about safety and have a strong background in managing complex risks, incidents, and process safety programs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at Genentech. We are currently seeking a Principal EHS Program Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex risk assessments, incident investigations, and process safety programs.

  • Develop and implement effective EHS strategies and programs to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.

  • Provide expert guidance and support to senior leadership on EHS matters.

  • Foster a culture of safety and promote best practices throughout the organization.

  • Help manage EHS risks and enable the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering (Chemical, Process), Environmental Health and Safety, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees are a plus.

  • 12+ years of proven experience in managing complex risk, incidents, and process safety programs.

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant EHS regulations and standards.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to drive change and influence others towards a culture of safety.

  • Ability to help manage EHS risks appropriately while enabling the business

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $140,500 - $260,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
