Your Job

INVISTA is looking for a contribution-motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will proactively identify vulnerabilities, develop strategies to mitigate risks, and safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets. You'll configure and install security applications to monitor our critical systems and networks, respond swiftly to data security crises, and ensure that security measures are up to date with changes in facilities, software, hardware, user needs, and telecommunications.

What You Will Do

  • Proactively identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.
  • Configure and install security applications and intrusion detection systems (IDS) to monitor and safeguard network traffic.
  • Promptly respond to data security crises and take appropriate actions to minimize the impact and prevent future occurrences.
  • Oversee and assess any changes in facilities, software, hardware, user needs, and telecommunications to ensure security measure are appropriately updated and maintained.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and protocols to protect the company's digital assets from cyber threats.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met throughout the organization.
  • Stay up to date on emerging threats and cybersecurity trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 2+ years of experience in the field of cybersecurity, including designing and implementing security controls, conducting assessments, and responding to security incidents.
  • Experience with incident handling of security breaches.
  • Experience with network security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other relevant security technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's or higher in in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, and HIPAA) and security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2).
  • Risk Management Framework experience.
  • Experience in Cloud Security, Network Security, or Security Data Analytics.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC are highly desirable.
  • Experience with cloud security technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
