As a Sr. Health Safety Environmental Specialist supporting Manufacturing Technical Operations you will be trusted to support and provide guidance on HSE activities at Alcon Precision Device (APD) Operations (2 sites located in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania).

• Facilitate and lead APD's ergonomic and early intervention program.
• Promote a successful HSE culture within the facility and co-facilitate the site's HSE/Wellness Committee.
• Ensure compliance and maintenance of management systems supporting ISO14001 certification.
• Co-manage multi-site waste/recycling activities.
• Provide regulatory compliance guidance and assist management in HSE program initiation, implementation, and maintenance.
• Facilitate multi-site industrial hygiene program (i.e. chemical exposure, noise, indoor air quality, etc.)
• Participate with management in the development of applicable goals and objectives for the business unit or facility regarding continual improvement in HSE.
• Report issues/events relative to safety or environmental inspections/inquiries received from third parties or governmental agencies to Global HSE; and represent Alcon as required.
• Ensure proper maintenance and documentation of applicable governmental responsibilities and records required of the facility, specific to safety and environmental activities.
• Ensure prompt and proper documentation of information relative to applicable programs.
• Review environmental and safety incidents (to include actual and near-miss/good catch events) and ensure that documentation and appropriate actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence.
• Ensure training activities, programs, and respective documents are in effect regarding HSE obligations.
• Conduct internal audits and inspections relative to HSE compliance assurance of the site and related programs, and accurately document events.
• Forward written reports regarding HSE programs, performance, or activities as requested by Global HSE.
• Maintain, on a confidential basis, issues related to various HSE concerns assuring that management and Global HSE are advised.
• Act as site OSHA injury/illness documentation record keeper and ensure investigations are conducted and complete as well as acting Management Representative when designated.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to motivate and adapt to competing/changing priorities.

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs.; Assoc.+6 yrs.; M.S.+0 yrs.)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
