The GOM Construction Specialist will be part of the GOM F&C Construction & Install Team and will support the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit in managing both short and long term planning as well as in controlling program execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This will be done by working closely with the Assets, Plants and Operational Support groups to gather, analyze and reconcile all necessary data to allow execution of these plans.

* Ensure the safe and timely delivery of offshore projects within the specifications, codes and industry best practices

* Support the project team during engineering design of production platforms, process and subsea systems

* Provide HSE leadership in design development, fabrication and installation activities

* Work with team to prepare specifications and inquiry packages for procurement, manufacture, and installation of offshore oilfield equipment and structures

* Provide supervision of offshore equipment and structure manufacturing including organization/coordination of inspection team

* Provide site supervision of the offshore installation of platforms and subsea systems

* Work in a highly collaborative, team focused environment

* Ensure that project deliverables and compliance with regulations and SEMS requirements

* Assist Project Engineers/Managers with project cost estimates and constructability issues during the design, planning and construction phases of projects

* Deliver onshore fabrication and offshore construction and installation within the established cost and schedule for the project

Qualifications

Desired:

* Bachelor's degree required.

* Background in construction management or engineering preferred.

* Minimum of 12 years relevant experience required

* Experience with installation and/or manufacture of offshore oilfield equipment and/or structures

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Ability to work effectively in project teams to deliver deepwater offshore production platforms and subsea systems

* Supervisor for manufacture/fabrication and installation of offshore production platforms

* Knowledge of construction trades and practices

* Working knowledge of QA/QC programs and NDE methods

* Working knowledge of industry codes, standards and regulations applicable to offshore construction and production operations

* Ability to identify and compile required project documentation and manufacturing records

* Contribute to efforts internally and externally to improve equipment standards

* Develop processes, procedures, and training programs to achieve corporate goals

* Familiar with the major Subsea OEM equipment product lines

* Willing to travel offsite and work offshore on light construction vessels, lay vessels, or platforms in the Gulf of Mexico as the project requires

* Familiar with field development concepts and operational requirements

* Gulf of Mexico offshore Construction Management/Installation experience

* Certifications to travel offshore (HUET, SafeGulf, Marine Debris, Fit-for-Duty)

* Working knowledge of SEMS and Management of Change processes
