SUMMARY: The Regional Director, Retail Stores oversees all aspects of operations for a specific geographic area. The Regional Director is responsible and accountable for driving business results through the effective hiring and training of the store management teams within their assigned regional area. Areas of focus include sales and profit growth, expense control, promotional and merchandising execution, store management development, and exceptional customer experience. In addition to day-to-day operations, this role will facilitate new store start-up operations and logistics within their region; delivering on-time, on-budget, and on-brand store roll-outs.

Pay Range: $131,000-$186,000

What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Work with store managers and marketing to create store-specific strategies to achieve annual sales plans and year-over-year growth.
  • Accurately assess the results of retail locations; reviews and prioritizes areas of focus; helps the team plan operational activities in a way that has the greatest potential impact on operating results for the store and region.
  • Develops performance targets and monitors achievement of benchmarks and goals for each store.
  • Evaluate success factors, KPIs and key sales and profit growth drivers; identify potential sales growth tactics or opportunities; share success stories across the organization to foster broader implementation of successful tactics.
  • Manage the regional budget and P&L, determining the most advantageous way to allocate resources to maximize operating results.
  • Facilitate all new store start-up operations and logistics in coordination with Retail, Finance, IT, Logistics, Marketing, Consumer Care, Legal, and HR.
  • Responsible for networking and recruiting within the region to ensure stores have appropriate staffing levels to support the business; accountable for making sound hiring decisions at the store management level.
  • On an ongoing basis, evaluates performance of store personnel to determine required training to meet Company objectives; implements (or supports managers in impletmentation of) performance improvement plans as applicable; provides feedback and coaching to store managers.
  • Creates an atmosphere where all team members are held accountable for both individual and team performance.
  • Leads by example, protects company branding at all times and ensures all team members are treated in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Ensures that strategies, change initiatives, and business opportunities are communicated in compelling ways to their regional area.
  • Participates in ongoing assessment and development of core training curriculum for store personnel. Leads training sessions as applicable.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related subject
  • 10+ years relevant work experience in business and operational roles in a retail / customer facing environment
  • 5+ years multi-site management experience
  • Advanced level of skill with Microsoft Office, familiarity with/ and ability to learn POS, time management, inventory management, and reporting software tools.
