Job Description

Summary

Provides assistance to the Dallas-Fort Worth CSC EHS Manager. Strives to maintain a Culture of Zero through administration and implementation of policies and procedures that promote a healthy and safe work environment. Supports facility with compliance and upkeep of Federal OSHA, state, and local authorities and company-wide safety initiatives.


Description of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and enforce workplace health and safety to sustain a Culture of Zero.
  • Assist in preparing and enforcing policies to maintain a culture of health and safety.
  • Assist in creating processes that identify, evaluate, and control hazards in the workplace.
  • Ensure facility and management awareness of current and pending regulatory requirements, permit conditions, and other restrictions legally imposed by federal, state, and local authorities.
  • Support facility in preparation of OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)
  • Provide and track training to comply with applicable OSHA and company requirements.
  • Implement and maintain required OSHA and company compliance programs/processes.
  • Provide industrial hygiene support as needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new health and safety programs.
  • Support Growing Green efforts at the facility.
  • Serve as Assistant Emergency Responses for the facility, assisting with the coordination of emergency services and contractors.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented to identify potential opportunities and threats in the workplace.
  • Must have the ability to analyze data, provide solutions and implement change.
  • Additional assignments and responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, is required; Bachelor's or associate degree is a plus.
  • Two years experience in a similar role.
  • Certified in OSHA 10 or 30 General Industry is a plus.
  • Certified in First Responder - First Aid, CPR, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogen is a plus.
  • Must have good work and attendance record. (No active written discipline on file)
  • Basic P.C. skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to function and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced operating environment is critical.
  • Must be able to interface and communicate effectively within the organization, including public speaking.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing business environment.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions explicitly.
  • Must be familiar with warehouse operation's processes and procedures.
  • Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements.
  • Must be able to shift priorities easily and beable to work well with others.
  • Must have responsible work habits.
