The Tempur Sealy manufacturing site in Dallas, TX is currently seeking a Loader. The pay rate is $21/hour.

Job Summary: The Loader will have responsibility to receive and store raw materials coming into the plant such as mattress springs, cloth, wood and foam materials. The materials arrive in a semi-trailer that is pulled into the receiving dock. The Loader is responsible for operating a forklift to unload the materials from the semi-trailer, scanning the materials into inventory and moving the materials to the appropriate raw materials storage area.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain and operate warehouse equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Remove mattresses and box springs from bagging machine and load onto the trailer in a specific sequence (stop & load).
  • Reviews the Loading sheet in order to ensure all items have been loaded.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping pallet area neat.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.

What You Will Need:

  • 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a non-airconditioned environment
  • Must be able to work flexible hours (required overtime and Saturdays)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including but not limited to safety rules, procedures manual and policy manual.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with Department Supervisor, Lead, Coworkers and other personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while working with a sense of urgency.
  • Able to read and follow a written set of procedures.
