JOB SUMMARY

The System Support Technician will be responsible for:

  1. Providing technical support, troubleshooting, and systems training for an existing covert coding program on a high-speed manufacturing line.
  2. The role is located in Florence, KY, a suburb of Cincinnati, OH, and is located on-site at the manufacturing facility.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions outlined below serve as a representative sample of the tasks necessary to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this role. Additional functions and duties may be assumed or assigned from time to time.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and manage optimization of production line systems including printers, coders, scanners, cameras, triggers, and additional production line hardware.
  • Collaborate and liaise with the Authentix Management team to support our client in the successful delivery and execution of a covert coding program.
  • Perform on-site visits a minimum of three times per week to the manufacturing facility to troubleshoot and maintain coding system, train on-site personnel, and evaluate the status of operations.
  • Collaborate and liaise with the Authentix software team to maintain the SQL database and reporting functions for said client.
  • Drafting and maintaining technical documents and materials for user training and record keeping of coding system.
  • Perform root cause analysis of system faults and implement corrective actions.

  • Experience with production line printing and manufacturing.
  • Experience with printers, scanners, cameras, coders, cameras, triggers, and various production line hardware.
  • Preferred knowledge of Computer hardware, Windows Operating Systems, Networking, Communication Protocols, PLC systems, PC based Software Applications.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams from many disciplines both internally and externally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage customer and partner relationships.
  • Highly skilled in time management.
  • Ability to influence action across a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work as an independent self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Less than 25% domestic travel if the candidate is local to Florence, KY.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in packaging engineering with a focus on data communication of various hardware systems is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time; must be able to hear and verbally communicate in order to exchange information in person or over the phone; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist; to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 pounds of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement; to occasionally travel to other locations using various modes of private or commercial transportation.
