Kleinfelder Construction Services is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team! This position will focus on providing engineering support for transportation improvement projects in Northern California.

As the Assistant Project Manager, responsibilities include the following:

Writing construction change orders and preparing associated back-up including independent cost estimate and memorandum
• Logging, reviewing, tracking, and responding to RFIs and submittals
• Preparing project correspondence including response letters to the Contractor and other project stakeholders
• Prepare and review monthly quantity sheets (Q-sheets) to accompany the progress estimate
• Attend meetings and prepare agenda and meeting minutes
• Review progress schedules
• Prepare and maintain project records (monthly estimates, weekly project status reports)

Requirements:

• Minimum of four years of experience required
• Minimum two years of post-12^th grade curriculum in engineering or surveying
• Strong communication and writing skills are required
• Excellent organizational skills are essential
• BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, preferred
• EIT or Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California, a plus
• Position requires candidate be pro-active and personable
• Ability to learn quickly and assist with applicable tasks

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $45-$77
