Job Description
Job Summary

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining documentation of the manufacturing and/or packaging procedures and processes for the production and/or packaging areas. This position strives to monitor changes in processes, revise documentation, and communicate to appropriate production/packaging areas areas. Perform reconciliation of batches and completes SAP transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Calculates results and reconciliations on batch records and review documentation as required by production/packaging departments.
  • Work within and maintain computer programs to calculate and trend required production data including DPM, downtime, yield, re-inspection, and daily production reports, etc.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory on all stock items. Orders machine parts, tools and safety items at times.
  • Orders supplies for the department and the packaging lines.
  • Complete the Bill of Lading to move materials between the plants.
  • Review batch records for accuracy and forward records to management for review after reconciliation
  • Conducts research required to support investigation of non-compliance issues or aids in determining root cause of non-compliance, develops corrective action, and assesses impact on product to complete investigation for management approval.
  • Evaluates and revises standard operating procedures as needed for method changes and/or corrective action.
  • Performs daily data entry activities in SAP to support manufacturing process. Identifies materials with SAP tags and coordinates movement of these materials with other departments.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to operate a digital camera and apply image editing skills to photography.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing principles and practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School education required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a similar position ideally in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Must have excellent computer literacy. (Microsoft Excel and Word, PowerPoint, SAP, Lotus Notes)
  • Must be able to use computer programs and databases to calculate and trend production data and create presentations for management review. Knowledge of production and packaging batch records to reconcile and review results.
  • Must be able to work independently and initiate self-developed projects to assist production/packaging operations.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills are required.
