Job Summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring for Program Coordinator, Physician Assistant Studies

Experience and Education

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education/Social Science, or related field, and at least five (5) years' experience in appropriate field required.

May consider additional years of experience in lieu of education.

Job Duties
  • Develop and refine data collection and analysis procedures, coordinate and evaluate operational procedures and supervised clinical practice experiences in nine clinical rotation specialties for 60 students per class.
  • Assists Department Administrator in formulating budget needs, oversee and coordinate application process for international placement of students within supervised clinical practice experiences, develop, cultivate and maintain working relationships with multiple internal/external departments, agencies and health care facilities involved in placing and educating physician assistant students.
  • Assist in the development, reporting and regular updating of clinical education goals and objectives.
  • Direct Supervised Clinical Practice Experience evaluation and quality control activities (EXXAT).
  • Develop and/or approve schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals and recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities.
  • Work with Clinical Team on Match Day
  • Provides supervision to Education Assistants
  • Manage housing on the clinical side at University Courtyard Apartment in Temple, Texas to include renewal of lease, developing check in and out procedure for students; obtain feedback from students after each rotation; disbursing payment for rent and internet service through Spectrum.
  • Manage housing on the clinical side at Candlewood Suites in Longview, Texas to include making reservations, providing credit card authorization and state sales tax exemption form and reconciliation of charges.
  • Administrative Support for grants with Director of Research
  • Administrative Support for Grant Management
  • Review ARC-PA Portal Updates with Department Chair, when indicated
  • Assist in coordination of Summative Activities
  • Assist Clinical Coordinator with preparation of PPE Pick-up o Perform other Duties as assigned by Department.
