These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with Diversity Organizations receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCast’s™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience.

The program offers training and counseling which are intended to restore dignity, stability and self-sufficiency to the family unit. All programs and environments are designed to create an atmosphere of emotional, social and economic empowerment.

Human Rights Initiative of North Texas

Human Rights Initiative of North TexasThrough a network of dedicated volunteers, Human Rights Initiative helps those who have suffered terrible wrongs at home for worshipping their God. For speaking out against oppression. For being women. We provide legal representation and social services free of charge to those who have fled persecution and arrived in Dallas, Texas with nothing. No family, no friends. No money. And often, very little hope. At Human Rights Initiative, we provide the resources – the hope – these courageous people need to leave their persecutors behind and begin anew.

International Rescue Committee - Dallas

International Rescue Committee - DallasThe IRC supports newly arrived refugees by providing immediate aid, including food and shelter. Through a network of staff members and volunteers we provide access to the tools of self-reliance: housing, job placement and employment skills, clothing, medical attention, education, English-language classes and community orientation. Each resettlement office serves as a free, one-stop center for refugees’ needs during their pivotal first months in the U.S.

Irving Cares

Irving CaresThe Employment Services Program promotes self-sufficiency in Irving residents by helping them find and maintain stable employment. Our Case Manager is available to assist clients in identifying and overcoming barriers to employment like transportation, childcare expenses, education level, job skills, uniforms, and work wardrobe. Irving Cares partners with the Education Opportunity Center in an effort to provide additional job referrals to clients and to help with scholarships for college. In 2007/2008, this program served 1,011 individuals.

Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas

New Friends New life

New Friends New lifeNew Friends New Life helps women who have been working as prostitutes, dancers and in other sexually oriented businesses create new lives for themselves and their children. We provide the skills, support and resources for women to find other employment and make a fresh start. We find that significant, long-term change is best facilitated in a safe, non-judgemental environment with other women who not only share a common past but also the common desire for a fresh start. Eighty percent of women who come to us for help do not return to their former lifestyle.

North Dallas Shared Ministries

North Dallas Shared MinistriesNorth Dallas Shared Ministries is a cooperative effort of 46 congregations that combines resources to provide effective, appropriate, and efficient assistance to a large segment of Dallas’ poorest population. Initially, emergency aid included food, payment of rent and utility bills, gas vouchers, bus tokens, prescription vouchers, and financial help to obtain ID’s. Within a few short years, an employment assistance program, English-as-a-second language classes, and an extensive eye exam/eyeglass program were added to provide tools to help clients help themselves.

Teens at Work promotes education and continued learning throughout life. We motivate teens to reach their greatest level of potential, by creating long-term commitments and relationships with the teen to see them succeed.
